Yesterday, hundreds of healthcare workers, including nurses, doctors, midwives and others, assembled outside the offices of the Allied Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA) to protest against the enforced adoption of the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance’s controversial definition of anti-semitism.
Health workers at yesterday’s rally spoke out against the definition, saying that it unfairly proscribes criticism of the state of Israel, Zionism, and Israel’s genocide in Gaza, sending a chilling effect not only to health workers, but to the broader community.
