Student Strike Against Hanson

Two to three thousand high school and university students walked out of classrooms today, to protest against far-right party, One Nation, its leader, Pauline Hanson, and the racist, sexist and homophobic ideology they are pushing into federal and state government policies, some which are being adopted by the ALP and Coalition and promoted by some sections of the media and big business.

The rally was held at Sydney Town Hall on Gadigal Nura and organised by the National Union of Students. Similar rallies were held around the nation, with thousands more turning out in numbers, both in capital cities and regional centres across the country.
